this is the very first historical fiction book that I have read, and I have to say that it wasn't bad.
This story is about 2 childhood friends. Phillip was to be married to Francesca a.k.a Franny. Franny Had no idea about this arrangement. She was finally done morning over her mother, and was ready to mingle and start her own family. The only problem was that her father had told her about the arraignment. She was not happy. Phillip was a womanizer and had many women. She knew it was a duty and not something that he wanted.
Phillip had always loved Franny. He now has to prove to her that he is in it for the love, and not anything else. So, he did what any love struck man does. he made her a deal. He promised her that he would have her swooning. In the mean time if he could not swoon her, and she found a suitable man, he would let her go. Franny than did a lot of flirting and talking to a bunch of men.
Phillip was able to steal a couple of kisses, and found out that she has never been with a man so his kissing was a first of many!. Every day he was getting Franny to fall more and more in love with him. It was getting close to announce their engagement.
Phillip was competing with another duke. He was starting to feel the green eye jealously monster to come in. He had one more trick up his sleeve, But the only problem was... would it be enough to win her over?
