this book is about rape, so if you cannot handle that or its effects, do not read this book. I on the other hand loved this book, and cannot wait to read the next one. these books were once already published. this book was called no way back mia's story. the next book was called don's story. if you have read these books before then you need to read this book!


this book is about a girl named Mia. she is in a political family. she hates going to their functions because she feels like she does not fit in. she never sees her father and her mother was sent to rehab. so, one night Mia went to a party without her best friend. she was roofed and then raped by a couple of men. she was badly beaten up and was found by two police officers.

she was at the hospital when she realized that these two police officers actually like to help people unlike her family. the press was trying to publish pictures of her from the hospital but her father was able to stop it for a price. she had to make a public statement. her dads publicist made a horrible speech and tried to blame this whole problem on her.

Mia cannot go outside without have an attack. she is seeing a therapist, but it is not working. she cannot sleep because all she sees is her attacker. she told everyone that she did not know who he is but in real life it was their family friend's son. if she told them his name it would ruin her fathers chance for office. when she found out her best friend had a picture of the two men that attacked her she was happy that she had a fall back plan.

the police ended up getting her in trouble for having a fake id and underage drinking. she has to do community service. she cannot believe that she got arrested and the people who raped her didn't get anything. now, doing community service at a woman's center she found her voice. she was able to take to the police officer's sister who is in charge of the place. she found out that 6 other girls were also raped by the same people. they needed her to speak up

between her father trying to make everything right for his office and not his family Mia is going to have to figure out what is best for her and the other victims. will she do what her father wants her to do or will she finally speak up and put closer in her case? a shocking discovery will change her life forever.
